One of those days ...

One day I was walking along the street to the bus station. I was really near it when the bus came and splashed me. I was wet from my head to my feet. And then the bus driver didn’t even wait for me but drove away quickly. So that’s why I was compelled to go home on foot. When I came home even my mum was screaming because I didn’t tidy my room. I was tired and when I lay down fell asleep immediately. Five minutes later when I was deep in sleep, my sister came in my room and asked me if I could help her with her homework. I was so tired that I got out of the bed and pushed my sister out of the room. Then I just lay back and tried to fall asleep again, but I couldn’t. I finally fell asleep at three o’clock in the morning. That was the worst day ever.

Urša, 8. b

It was one normal day. I woke up and I remembered that I forgot about my German class. I quickly picked up my clothes and ran through the door. I came to school by car and entered. I was too late and the door was closed. In that moment I remembered that I forgot to do my homework. I started doing it when the first hour began. I was shaking because I didn’t do my homework and the teacher started to ask questions. She called my name and I had to come in front of the blackboard and answer her questions. When the school ended I was angry because I was late to German class, I forgot my homework and the teacher asked me questions. At that moment the bus drove away in front of my eyes.
That was the worst day in my life!
Luka B., 8. b

One morning I woke up late. I quickly got dressed and ran into the kitchen. I didn’t have time to eat anything, so I just poured myself a glass of milk. But it tasted funny. When I checked it I realized it had gone bad. I got to school five minutes late and by the third lesson I found out I had forgotten my books for two subjects. The teachers weren’t exactly happy with this.
When the last bell rang, I went home. It had been raining all morning and the streets were covered with puddles. Right on the corner of my street a car splashed me with water.
When I finally got home, it was a huge relief. Well, this day couldn’t possibly get worse. Boy, I was wrong. Y six years old cousin came for a visit with her mum. The problem is, my cousin is a kind of nosy. Ok, she is really nosy. She wanted to go into our rooms, tipping over the vases, and on top of it, she spilled grape juice all over me. When they finally left, I was getting ready to go to my riding school when I found out it was cancelled.
Bad days happen, but that was really too much!
Angela, 8. a

I woke up and it was a horrible morning. It was raining. I was hungry, so I wwent to the kitchen and there I figured out that we ran out of bread. So I had to eat cornflakes. I didn’t like that. But then I remembered that that day was one of the special days. That night we had a performance at Cankarjev dom, so I didn’t have to go to school. So I dressed up and went to Cankarjev dom.
On my way there a car came by and splashed me. I was really angry because I was all wet, so I had to hurry up.
When I came to the theatre, I went directly to our dressing room. There I found out that I forgot my dance costume at home. I was really upset. When my mother brought me the costume and I was prepared, I went near the stage. All my group was there already and we started to prepare for the performance. When I was dancing I fell and sprained my ankle. At first I didn’t know it, but when I was walking to the stage to perform, I felt a pain in my ankle. I danced anyway, but it hurt really badly.
I hope that a day like that won’t happen again.

Are we shopping addicts?

I love shopping because it's fun and it relaxes me. I like shopping only for myself and my sister. I usually shop in big shopping malls because there is a lot of smaller shops and big choice.
I go shopping for myself and my sister every month. I ususally buy a t-shirt, trousers, jeans and make up. I go shopping with my sister Tjaša because she helps me choose the right clothes. I often go window shopping, when I get bored. I spend my pocket money on sweets, presents for my friends and make up. I don't like online shopping because when you pay for something, you usually never get it, because they lie and take out money. I never read advertisment and watch TV commercials, because they're annoying.
All in all, I will always love shopping. My dreams are that I will some day go shopping to New York.
Taja, 8. b

I don't like shopping because it's boring and I don't like spending money. I like shopping for computer games.
I usually go shopping in small shops because they are near my home. I go shopping three times a week. I and my family also shop on Sundays. I usually buy food. I go shopping with my parents. I like it because I don't have to pay. I never go window shopping. I don't spend my pocket money. I think that online shopping is not very safe because people can steal money from your bank account. I sometimes read advertisments but I don't watch TV commercials because sometimes I think that commercials are longer than the film I'm watching.
In conclusion, I think that shopping is just a waste of time.
Matic, 8. b

I like shopping in general but only for myself. I like walking around the store and picking up things for myself when nobody bothers me.
I prefer shopping in small shops like boutiques and shops with old things. It's not crowdy and it's more like a hobby, not a work to do. Small shops are usually more expensive but just window shopping around the town is good, too. The most important reason why I like small shops is that they are not advertised. There aren't any commercials about their products. I hate commercials, there are too many of them and thy ruin everything. If all shops were like this I would go shopping more often, but now I usually buy things when I need something and boutiques are (as I said) expensive, so I try to avoid them. I usually go shopping at day time when shops are open, of course. I prefer buying things when I pass  the store on daily activities or in the town, and not to go somewhere just for shopping. That's why I usually go shopping alone so nobody bothers me. My parents just give me the money but only when they agree or things are necessary. That's why I don't want to receive my pocket money because, in fact, my parents pay for almost all my things. I usually buy things in the store and not online because I always want to see the product which I want to buy and make sure if the thing is really as I imagined. This is probably the most important reason to buy something; you have to like it and it has to look like you imagined.
Ava, 8. b

I don't like shopping because it is boring and I think it is a waste of time and money. I get twenty euros a month from my parents and I have to spend them very carefully. I usually go shopping in big shopping malls once a week and I buy only the things I really need. Sometimes I stop in front of the shopping window to see what can I buy inside. I usually buy some nice clothes in men's wear that suit me. Sometimes TV commercials help me buy some things easily. I never buy online because I don't know if the new clothes suit me. I often go shopping by myself and sometimes with my sister in the shopping centre Supernova. I am very happy if I find some nice clothes and go home as soon as possible.
Luka B., 8. b

I like shopping because I like buying things and have them for myself. I like shopping for myself.
I usually go shopping to the small shops, but once a week I and my family go shopping to the big shops (supermarkets). We go shopping because we need food and other things. I go shopping twice a week. We never go shopping on Sundays because we usually go to other places (towns), only if we run out od food.
I usually buy some drinks or sweets. I go shopping by myself and I like it, because there's no one to say to me to stop buying sweets. I sometimes go window shopping. I don't get my pocket money, because I don't need it. I don't like online shopping because I don't trust it. I don't like watching TV commercials because they are long and boring.
All in all, I lke shopping for and by myself, but only once or twice a week.
Lan, 8. b

I like shopping when I do it with my friends, and when I'm in a good mood, I like it with my mum, too. I usually go shopping with my mum, because my dad is not so patient. We actually go shopping just when we need something. When my mum goes shopping, she buys some food. When I go shopping I usually buy clothes. And when my dad goes shopping, it means that he will just look around and buy nothing. We all go shopping late at night, because there are not so many people in the shopping centre. I prefer small shops, but at the same time, it's practical to go shopping to shopping centres, because I can buy everything at the same place, so I'm not tired of walking to different stores. That's why I also like buying things on internet, but never clothes, because of the size - I just don't know which should I take... But anyway, I don't spend so much money, I'm saving it for the products which I want and are more expensive. I sometimes go window shopping, but the next day I usually go and buy the things I have seen in the shops. I see many commercials on TV, but when they play them, I always switch the programme. I think they're boring, but that's the way they make money. Good for them...The point is that I like shopping because I get some new things.

The old lady and her cats

Once upon a time behind nine hills and nine lakes there was a house. The house was in a big, loud city. There was an old lady, too. She lived in that house. She lived there with her cats. A lot of cats. Well, first she had one cat, but that cat met another one and it had kittens. The kittens grew upa and met another few cats and they had kittens. So the old lady had a lot of cats and she was crazy about them. She went for a walk with them every single day. One day she went for a walk with her cats again. She let them out and locked the door. They went to the park, played and did a lot of things like always. But then the old lady saw that she lost the key from the house. She looked arounda and found it. She wanted to pick it up, but then one of her cats ate it! The old lady screamed but it was too late. The biggest problem was that the old lady didn't see which cat ate the key. She had no choice - she had to go to the doctor. The doctor said that he couldn't do anything so the old lady waited and waited .... But nothing happened.
"Lady, I think that you will need a new key," the doctor said.
"No, no, I want the key from my cat!"
"Well, we can wait as long as you want." the doctor said and they sat down.
So they waited and waited ... but not even one cat went to the toilet. The old lady and the doctor looked at each other and the old lady realised that she would need a new key.
She bought a new key but she didn't find the old one. Well, it must be in one of her lovely cats.

I brushed my teeth and went to school. I had the following subjects: Slovene, sports, history, maths and music. At school aI also ate my lunch. Fot lunch I had pizza and salad. After lunch I went home and I finnished my homework. I also studied a lot. Later, at three o'clock I went climbing. The gym for climbing is far away from my home, so I took a bus to get there. I like climbing very much. I came home in the evening. I prepared my schoolbag and then I watched TV and checked my e-mails on the computer. My mother cooked very good dinner, we had pancakes and a nice soup. After dinner I brushed my teeth and at nine o'clock I went to bed. Before I fell asleep I read Winetou from Karl May which I really like. My day was nice.
